The same five steps on every project, sized to yours.
- 01A short call or the quote builder
Tell me how the business runs today: the tools, the workarounds, the bit that drives you mad. The quote builder takes about five minutes and gives me a scoped brief.
- 02A fixed quote, in phases
I reply with a fixed price and a phase plan. The must-haves go first, so you are using the system while the rest is still being built.
- 03Previews as it’s built
You see the real system on a private link while it is being built, with your own data in it as early as possible. Changes are cheap at this stage, so this is where we make them.
- 04Your data moved across
Spreadsheets, an old system, email threads: the data comes with you, checked against the source so nothing is lost on the way.
- 05Launch, then care
Your team gets a walkthrough, and I stay on for fixes and new features, either on a monthly support plan or pay as you go.
Questions, answered.
What kind of software do you build?
Business systems for small and medium businesses: CRMs, ERPs, client portals, booking, quoting and invoicing systems, AI agents and automations, integrations between the tools you already use, and the websites that feed them.
Who will I be working with?
Me, Luke Fenech. I scope, design and build the system myself and I reply to your messages myself, so nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a developer.
Do you only work with businesses in Malta?
No. I’m based in Malta and most clients are here, but I work remotely with businesses abroad, including a contractor now operating in Melbourne.
Custom or off the shelf: how do I decide?
If an off-the-shelf product fits how you work and you’re happy with its per-user pricing, use it. Custom software makes sense when your process is part of your edge, when your tools don’t talk to each other, or when you’re paying for several products to do one job. Each service page has an honest ‘not the right call if’ section.
How much does custom software cost?
It depends on the parts you need. The quote builder shows a rough build time as you go, and I reply with a fixed quote. The pricing page explains how quotes are worked out.
Can my project get Digitalise Your SME funding?
Custom software is an eligible cost under the scheme, but approval depends on your business and the current call, and the build can only start after approval. The Malta page explains how it works.
